Ambulance VSL

Ambulance VSL

A VSL (Vehicle Sanitaire Leger), more commonly known by its French initials CPAM taxi service, is an authorized medical transport vehicle which can accommodate up to three passengers at once. This model has been tailored specifically for individuals with reduced mobility who seek regular medical consultations or appointments.

Regional authorities of health insurance provide localized health transport. This may include ambulances, conventional taxis and emergency response vehicles (VSA).

Aeronefs or medical helicopters may be utilized. Motorized vehicles, however, are generally preferred for long distance or elevated capacity transfers.

VSL Ambulance allows those of all ages and with reduced mobility to safely receive care during their travels in comfort and with respect for safety while maintaining securtiy at vehicle interiors. VSL and other forms of medical transport cannot meet its goals without an integrated schedule, tailored specifically to each passenger’s individual needs.

Access to VSL has proven beneficial in mitigating risks of infection and health concerns related to unassisted travel.
