Taxi VSL – L’Experimentation d’amélioration du parc de taxis Conventionnels en VSL

Taxi VSL

A taxi and VSL vehicle are two primary forms of transportation used to move urgent medical cases around. Both types of vehicles provide assistance on long journeys or provide urgent medical treatment when needed.

Uncomfortably, finding an accessible taxi can often prove challenging when needing medical help for hospitalisation, according to Veronique Kornmann of Maladie de Paris’ administrative clergie.

As part of its effort, health insurance, in conjunction with a regional health agency (ARS), of one territory organizes an experimentation on improving VSL taxi fleet.

To take part in experimentation, an enterprise bicephale must first receive approval by their local Authority Research Services for VSL implementation and have signed an Agreement on VSL terms with them before being registered in ADS database managed by them.

As part of its conversion from conventional taxis to VSL taxis, an enterprise must present to ARS a document requesting temporary ADS deliveries. This document should contain details regarding who transferred ADS as well as conditions governing their new VSL contract (articles R.6312-33 of Public Health Code).

Transferees of ADS must have the opportunity to apply for an Authorisation de Mise en Service (AMS), according to experimentation conditions (article L. 6312-4 du Code des Transports).
